부산 영도에 위치한 한국해양대학교입니다
한국에서 유일무이하게 하나의 섬(조도)으로 이루어진 캠퍼스입니다
1919년에 생긴 진해 해원양성소가 모태로서 1955년에 현재의 위치로 이전하고
이듬해에 문교부에 의해 한국해양대학으로 인가를 받았습니다
학교가 섬에 위치하여있다보니 교내에서 해양스포츠동아리가 활발하게 활동하고 있습니다
예전에는 학교축제때 교내낚시가 열린적도 있습니다
Korea Maritime and Ocean University located in Yeongdo, Busan.
It is the only campus in Korea comprised of an island (Jodo).
Jinhae Haewon Training Center, established in 1919, was its origin and moved to its current location in 1955.
The following year, it was approved as Korea Maritime University by the Ministry of Education.
Since the school is located on an island, the marine sports club is very active within the school.
In the past, school fishing was held during school festivals.
